There is More Than One Way to FLOURISH

When it comes to hair butters, we have all seen our fair share. What makes FLOURISH special are its unique ingredients. This isn’t your bog standard Shea butter mix. It has Walnut butter as its base with nutrient rich oils like Sweet Almond oil and Flaxseed oil added to the blend. All these ingredients can do wonders for your hair in more ways than one.

As a Pre-Poo Treatment

My hair is prone to extreme dryness and while shampoo does a good job of removing dirt, even the most gentle of shampoos end up stripping my hair of all moisture. Using FLOURISH as a pre-poo aka pre-shampoo treatment helps my hair retain moisture through the cleansing process.

I warm a small amount in my hands and work through my hair in sections. If my hair needs detangling I also add a couple of squirts of BLOOM. I let it sit for at least 15 minutes before jumping in the shower.

Use To Protect Your Ends

If retaining length is an issue for you, chances are sad, dry ends are the culprit. Your ends are the oldest and most likely the weakest part of your hair. Give them a little extra TLC by smoothing a small amount of FLOURISH into your ends after washing. The butter is loaded with conditioning properties which will keep dryness and most importantly breakage at bay.

To Lay Down Your Edges

I’m not going to sit here and sell you pipe dreams, FLOURISH isn’t going to do the job of a gel. It will however smooth your edges and apply a healthy sheen to your do. When putting my hair in a bun, I smooth FLOURISH along my crown then tie a silk/satin scarf over my edges. The weight of the butter combined with the pressure of the scarf gives a smooth finish to my style.

Moisturise Your Knees and Elbows

Confession time, dry knees and elbows haunt my nightmares. Standard moisturisers just don’t cut the mustard when it comes to these areas. After applying my lotion, I follow with a little FLOURISH on my knees and elbows. Walnut butter is rich in antioxidants which can help heal and protect dry irritated skin.

As a Styling Product

There’s a common misconception that styling products have to be gloopy, chemical filled nightmares. FLOURISH is none of those things and it does a pretty good job with my wash and gos, twist outs and flat twists. It softens my hair which makes it easier to style and as it is a light butter my hair still has lots of movement and bounce post styling. The Crambe Seed oil locks in moisture but also adds a lovely sheen to my hair.
